New Mars Petcare Chief Brand and Experience Officer Brings Tech to the Forefront

Mars, Incorporated is looking to overhaul its Petcare segment, focusing on digitalization and technology to drive business transformation.

As part of this effort, the company has named Najoh Tita-Reid as its chief brand and experience officer of Petcare, a newly created role. 

Tita-Reid brings significant experience across tech and digital marketing, having previously served as chief marketing officer of Logitech, where she oversaw global marketing, DTC and e-commerce efforts, and marketing transformation.

She also spent time across tech, healthcare, and CPG sectors at companies like Bayer, Merck, GlobalHue, and P&G. 

She will report to Leonid Sudakov, president of growth, digital and platforms at Mars Petcare, who looks forward to Tita-Reid’s “broad and impressive experience across tech, health, and consumer goods” to help scale and accelerate the company’s digital transformation, “allowing us to better meet the needs of pet owners and transform the experience of pet ownership.'

Tita-Reid, who takes on the role starting November 20, has been recognized for her tech efforts, being named to the Women’s Tech Network's Top 100 Women in Tech to Watch list, also receiving AdWeek’s Brand Genius award.

The company’s digital focus has been growing over the past several years. These are the latest leadership moves moving the company closer to becoming a primarily digitally-led team.

In 2022, Mars Petcare appointed Alejandro (Alex) Cedeno to the role of senior vice president of research and development (R&D) for its North America arm. Cedeno was hired to create and drive global R&D strategies, leveraging breakthrough science and technology.

In 2021, Mars Inc. expanded its Pet Nutrition North America leadership team with two digital hires: Jessica Hauff as general manager of e-commerce at Mars Petcare, a new role at the time, and Travis Reaves as VP, strategy and growth transformation.

Ruben Cejudo also joined Mars Petcare as VP of North American supply chain, focused on end-to-end solutions.
