Lowe’s CIO Seemantini Godbole Talking Workforce Renewal at Analytics Unite 2022

Seemantini Godbole

Seemantini Godbole, EVP and CIO of Lowe’s, will share the retailer’s secret sauce at Analytics Unite: The Summit for Retail and Consumer Brands when it comes building the modern workforce.

Godbole, who leads Lowe’s enterprise-wide global technology team focused on engineering, product, data and analytics, and innovation, joins an elite lineup of retail and CG executives for the “Recruit, Retain, Renew: Building a Connected Workforce” panel that includes Jo O’Hazo, chief data and analytics officer, Giant Eagle; Mohit Das, former VP, commercial analytics, Kellogg’s; and Nandha Kumar, CIO Americas, Danone.

An expert in digital leadership, Godbole has overseen significant upgrades in technology used by Lowe’s associates, including a freight flow app that’s enabled the retailer to optimize its workforce by making the receiving process quick and seamless. All of Lowe’s store technology, whether it’s mobile devices or pickup lockers, is designed so that associates are spending less time on tasking and more on customer service, she told RIS News in an interview last year.

“We really want them on the floor — not hunched up over a terminal — talking to customers, explaining, selling, helping. That’s really the focus of the technology in our stores,” Godbole said. “And I give a lot of credit to our tech associates — and I give a lot of credit to our store associates — in making that vision come true.”

Godbole joined Lowe’s in 2018 and has more than two decades of global technology experience, including serving as SVP of digital and marketing technology at Target. While there, she oversaw the company’s global e-commerce, enterprise marketing, and loyalty technology strategy and operations.

As a member of the panel, Godbole, O’Hazo, Das and Kumar will share the analytic skills they require from their tech teams, and how they’re recruiting and cultivating them to build a workforce of leaders. Learn more about the session and check out the full agenda.
