Steve Lykken has been promoted to VP of supply chain at Hormel Foods

Most recently group VP of Jennie-O Turkey Store, Lykken will succeed the retiring Mark Coffey and oversee the company’s One Supply Chain organization, including procurement, manufacturing, engineering, logistics, R&D, quality management, and plant operations.

Lykken has been with Hormel Foods since 1992, beginning as a sales account executive. He later led trade management and held brand manager and group product manager roles, and he was named SVP of the retail division of Jennie-O Turkey Store in 2003.

In a statement, Jim Snee, Hormel Foods president and CEO, pointed to Lykken’s breadth and depth of experience across the company as key indicators for future success.

The retiring Coffee has been with Hormel Foods since 1985, where he began as a plant supervisor. He was named SVP of supply chain and manufacturing in 2017 and group president  of supply chain for Hormel Foods global operations in 2021.

"Mark has been a highly respected and impactful leader over his almost 40-year career with the company. His perseverance and empowering leadership through the challenges of the COVID pandemic were indispensable, and his operational expertise has been transformational," noted Snee.
