IDC Names Head Product Lifecycle Strategies Research

IDC Manufacturing Insights announces the appointment of industry veteran Bruce Jenkins to Program Manager of the Product Lifecycle Strategies group. In this new role, Jenkins will focus on best practices for creating highly engineered manufactured products using the latest digital technologies. With more than 25 years of experience, Bruce touts a successful track record of providing thought-leading IT advisory services specifically focused on Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), and has worked with top technology decision makers in the automotive, aerospace, and high tech electronics industry, among others.

Throughout his career, Jenkins served in top positions at industry analyst firms including Spar Point Research and Daratech, and most recently, was the founder and principal analyst at Ora Research, provider of market intelligence and advisory services focused on maximizing the business value of Product Lifecycle Management for the 21st-century manufacturing enterprise. Jenkins has an in-depth knowledge of the application of PLM software in automotive, aerospace, high-tech electronics, off-highway equipment, industrial machinery and other manufacturing industries, and boasts an impressive and lengthy library of published research to support the advancement of PLM technologies and innovation.
