BlueTriton Taps Former Sabra Exec Joey Bergstein as New CEO

Water company BlueTriton has named Joey Bergstein its new chief executive officer, effective November 28, 2023.

Bergstein comes to BlueTriton from the Sabra Dipping Company, where he has served as president and CEO since 2021. During his Sabra tenure, Bergstein was said to have been instrumental in positioning the company for growth, bolstering food safety and quality, improving operational effectiveness, and driving innovation and sustainability efforts. 

“We have an amazing responsibility to help conserve, protect, and responsibly package our natural resources for the long-term, while providing healthy hydration to millions. I am excited for the next chapter of BlueTriton and look forward to building on our foundation and positioning it for long-term growth and success,”  said Bergstein.

BlueTriton counts brands like Poland Spring, Deer Park, Ozarka, Ice Mountain, Zephyrhills, and Arrowhead. In its portfolio. In 2021, the company – known at the time as Nestle Waters North America (NWNA) – was sold by Nestlé and rebranded as BlueTriton. 

At the time, Dean Metropoulos, known for leading turnarounds at CG brands like Hostess Brands and Pabst Brewing Company, became Nestle Waters North America (NWNA)’s chairman and interim CEO. 

Following the sale, former Johnson & Johnson exec Jorge Mesquita was named permanent CEO, tasked with leading the company through change, expanding market leadership, and advancing its commitment to sustainability.
